Falmouth Parish Church of King Charles the Martyr - Cornwall

The Choir
We take choir membership seriously but have fun together as well.
Eileen Rogers –choir member.

We are very fortunate at KCM to have a splendid, long established four part SATB robed choir of 25 plus voices, of wide age range and ability who lead the worship week by week in our fine church building.

The choir sings at the two main services each Sunday; practices take place on Friday evenings from 7.30 to 8.45 pm and there is also a short practice before each service in our well equipped, airy choir vestry. The choir also provides music for various civic and special services, occasional weddings, funerals and concerts and outside events.

We sing mainly traditional music from the Tudor period to the present day; we are always adding to our already extensive library to broaden the range to fit in with changing patterns and styles of worship.

We offer a warm welcome to new or prospective members; we make commitment as flexible as we can but most members attend practice each week and at least one Sunday service. We have been most fortunate in the last few years to attract younger people and a number of students from the nearby University who sing with us during term time. A small remuneration and assistance with transport is offered to younger members. We can also provide access to instrumental and voice coaches.
